One of the big things Sound Pellegrino co-founder Orgasmic used to be known for back in the good old days was sticking hip hop acapellas over electronic beats. I’m talking about an era when bootlegs barely existed, and when the concept of Lil’Jon rapping over every possible dutch house track was absolutely unconceivable… in 2002/2003 the only people that i knew of, who were doing it with taste and clever/up-to-date track choices were Feadz and Orgasmic, and they were absolutely killing parisian clubs with it. Those who have heard Orgaga’s mix cds (the ancestral “Orgasmic le toxicologue est secrètement amoureux de vous” and “the Rise and Rise of Orgasmic”) can testify: his blends are always on point. How Clap Low Trap is a nod to this era, blending Ludacris’s How Low with the new Hessle Audio release Claptrap by Joe.
